ALEXANDRA REEKIE
Piano & Accordion Teacher

Teaches: Piano, Keyboard and Accordion

Teaching Style: Classical

Experience: Alexandra has represented New Zealand on multiple occasions in overseas competitions. She has her Grade 8 in piano and has experience teaching our younger musicians in the Forte keyboard classes



Personal Profile
Alexandra is a piano and keyboard teacher at the centre and also one of our Forte Music School teachers. She has had great success overseas, participating in numerous competitions in internationally renowned locations. Alexandra is currently an active member of the Auckland Accordion Symphonietta.

In the past, Alexandra has represented NZ at the World Accordion Championships in Shanghai (2011), Canada (2013) and Salzburg (2014). She was also selected to record as classical pianist for the Budding Virtuosity Project in Brisbane in 2013.

Adding to her international accolades, Alexandra represented New Zealand in the World Accordion Championships in Russia in September 2016. Competing in the 18 years and under Junior Virtuoso Entertainment Music category, Alexandra placed a very creditable 8th place. This was the 4th time Alexandra has represented our country at this competition, and this was her highest placing to date.
