Experience: Don has been teaching music since 1991, with ATCL AMusTCL, LTCL and LRSL qualifications.



Personal Profile
Classically trained, Don is an experienced teacher with 25 years of teaching experience, specialising in classical piano, improvisation, jazz and popular music.

Don participated in two national tours in 2005 and 2008, in main centres performing original compositions. He has also performed in Wales, Germany and Boston at the New England Conservatory in 2013.

In the past Don has taken part in competitions including Christchurch Competitions for Piano Concerto coming 3rd. In the 1980s Don composed contemporary music and performed solo and in groups. He accompanied theatre productions and cabarets. 1990 saw him tour with NZ poet David Eggleton and also a professional comedy cabaret that received television exposure. From the 1990s he composed for solo piano and electronic music releasing around 10 CDs (two are on itunes). He also performed several concerts, including two national tours, and a TV appearance.
