Experience: Gina holds an LTCL Performance Flute qualification (1983), Diploma in Music, Flute (University of Auckland – 1985), Diploma of Instrumental Music Teaching, studying under Professor Uwe Grodd, Nelson (1986), and a Bachelor of Education (Auckland University of Technology – 2009)

Gina holds a deep passion for both the flute and music education. Through her empathetic, friendly nature, she always finds it rewarding to watch her students grow.

With many years teaching experience across the Auckland region, Gina enjoys teaching all ages and levels. Her experience includes: Performance as a soloist, such as with the Auckland Youth Orchestra, Bach Cantata Society, weddings and business functions. She was also a member of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in 1985 and 1990). In 2014 she performed with the world-renowned flautist and composer, Robert Aitken, with Magic Flutes NZ (University of Auckland Flute Ensemble).

In 2011, Gina participated in several Music Therapy workshops at the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre (Auckland). Gina still continues to perform regularly with Magic Flutes NZ, and through a close association with Auckland University, keeps current with visiting international artists and teachers. In February 2017, Gina participated in the International Flute Symposium held in Christchurch, performing with the fabulous Emily Beynon.
