Personal Profile
Hanna is a highly experienced musician and teacher at our centre. Her background is Swedish, and she began studying Scandinavian traditional music as a youth at Bollnäs Folk High School. Hanna went on to complete a music teachers programme with a focus on classical saxophone, at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg. After she left school she gained work experience as an employed teacher.

Other work experience she gained in Sweden was at several music schools (The Music School of Stenungsund, The Music School of Mölndal, The Music school of Töreboda , and The Folk Music Department, Music Conservatory of Odense in Denmark) teaching saxophone, clarinet and recorder as well as conducting orchestras. Much of Hanna’s time has been spent doing tours, concerts and workshops in Sweden, Scandinavia, Italy, Great Britain and Germany with her various bands and as a soloist.

"I have worked as a freelance musician and teacher for the last 15 years. The work has included touring with my bands and projects, playing as a soloist, releasing albums and teaching at folk music camps and courses for both adults and youth. Here is a selection of my work over the last few years: 2016 Nation wide New Zealand tour with my band from Sweden; Goodland Trio, October 2016 Tutor at Ethno Australia, music camp for young musicians from all over the world."
